I turned 29 on August 21st and I received some really lovely presents this year so I thought it would be nice to document them in a blog post. I’m also quite nosey and enjoy reading other people’s posts about what they got for their birthday so thought other people might like to have a snoop too.
I’d asked for a couple of things that I really wanted, literally 2, so I was really pleased to have a couple of surprises thrown in as well.
One of the presents that I had asked for from my fiancé was a pair of Vans Sk8-HI‘s. I’ve lusted after these shoes for a while now and I’m so glad I finally own a pair. They’re so comfy and go with so many outfits. I can’t wait to wear these
A little surprise he bought me was Flower Princess from Vera Wang. How beautiful is the bottle though? And you can take the little ring off beneath the crown and wear it too, how sweet! I love the scent of this perfume, its light enough to wear everyday but still strong enough that you can smell it on yourself.
The other present I asked for from my fiancé was the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette. Again, another item I had lusted after for a long time. This palette is stunning and I can’t wait to try it out! It’s been killing me not being able to use it until I had taken photos of it, bloglife eh? ha!
I also received some money from my parents and a H&M gift card from my sister, but physical present wise, the final thing I got was a John Lewis voucher from my lovely team in work which I used to buy the Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Eyeshadow Palette.
I love this palette so much, it’s shades are all completely matte and they’re all neutral too. It’s the perfect size to travel with and it looks great for everyday wear.
I had such a wonderful birthday this year and I’m so grateful to my family and friends for the presents and cards I received. My fiancé also got me a delicious birthday cake which took me no time at all to eat. Birthday cake is my favourite type of cake ever fyi.
Lots of you wished me happy birthday on Twitter too so thank you very much! 🙂
