Banana ‘Snickers’ Smoothie

I’ve been making this smoothie for a while now and along the way I’ve changed bits here and there but this recipe is the one I’ve been using for a good few months and I love it. It’s a great breakfast or snack because it’s filling, doesn’t take long to make and it’s pretty easy to drink on the go too. I used to make it just with a banana, almond milk and some peanut butter but realised with just a few extra additions I could make a snickers style shake which makes it a great sweet treat!

You will need:

1 banana
1 tbsp peanut butter
1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder or cacao powder
250/300ml almond milk, depending on how thick you like your smoothies
2 tbsp oats
1 tsp maple syrup or toffee sauce
3 ice cubes

Place all ingredients in a blender/nutribullet etc and blend until smooth, there you have it, a pretty healthy banana ‘snickers’ smoothie.

What’s your favourite smoothie? I’d love to hear your recipes!
